Current Missions at Grace

The Missions of Grace United Methodist Church exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ.  We meet at 7:30 PM on the 4th Monday (please verify with the posted calendar). We enjoy fellowship while organizing our upcoming mission trips or local projects within our surrounding communities.

Our most recent major accomplishments include:  Helping Hands, July 8-9, 2010 & Tennessee Missifons July 10-17, 2010, Nashville, Tennessee, Flood Victims Relief & Rebuilding;
3 trips to Abbeville, Louisiana, rebuilding from the devastation of Hurricane Rita; 1 trip to Long Beach, Mississippi, rebuilding from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina; 1 trip to Kansas, rebuilding from the devastation of Tornados; annual “Rebuilding Together.”

We perform home repairs of a local person, so that she may live in safety and security. We did major repairs to the home, which included electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and many other tasks, as well as significant aesthetic work such as gardening and painting.

We continue to donate food to homeless shelters, and homes for battered women and children. The biggest reward of doing mission work is the fellowship. We are bound together by our common goal to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, and to minister to others in that name.
